Today was just one of those days. Just about everything was going wrong and I'd nearly given up hope. Then I found hope... well hoppe. British photographer E O Hoppe's EOH modernist portraits of 1920's America are stunning. He's just released a new book, through W W Norton, containing all these incredible photos.

Mr Hoppe started off his career as a celebrity photographer
