before and after

artist Ted Dewan has offered his head to be shrunk and displayed, post-died-from-natural-causes-mortem of course, at Oxford University's Pitt River museum, in place of a collection of 10 shrunken heads that will be returned to the Amazon.
He's hoping the display will have a "family friendly" appeal.
I can see that.

Mr Dewan is an author and artist of children's books Ted . At present the case containing the 10 shrunken heads is labeled "treatment of dead enemies", examples of how Amazon tribesmen took their enemies' heads as trophies. Mr Dewan has suggested that his display case be labeled "treatment of dead benefactors".

I don't think Mr Dewan's idea is all that bad. In fact, I've often thought I'd like to donate all my organs, p-d-f-n-c-m of course, have my bones boiled shiny, and all linked together, proped up cross-legged on a big fluffy chair, with a martini in one hand.
they could call it "treatment of dead party girl"

moot or hooey?
there's a forensic farm in tennessee that monitors the decomposition of human corpses placed at various locations around the site
