grizzly situation

1984 has nothing on 2010.
if it isn't bad enough they blew out the side of a mountain to expand the highway between Vanc and Whistler and destroyed a huge area of natural eagle habitat in the process, now they want to dig up old growth forest, 500 logging truck loads of old growth forest, to make a 25 km cross country ski trail right in the middle of grizzly territory.
there are eight known grizzlies living in the area at present. grizzlies are extremely territorial. if you push them out of one area it's not like they simply move to another "vacant" area. they move into another grizzly's territory, often resulting in the death of one or both.
so far the only concern seems to be of the construction crew avoiding a grizzly attack. their lunches must be kept "completely secure"

moot or hooey?
the teddy bear was named for avid big game hunter Theodore Roosevelt
